Optimization of the traffic lights regime on the main road M17
In order to reduce traffic jams and long ques along the main roads M17, especially on the Konjic - Jablanica section, the implementation of the traffic lights management system with three signal plans will begin today. The signal plans are adapted to the traffic intensity in peak hours and peak days of the week during the summer, and include the extension of the green light interval both on the main corridor, and on left turns and secondary roads.
The longer green light plan on the main corridor (39 to 55 seconds) will enable more efficient emptying of the queues on the M17, especially in peak traffic hours during the summer tourist season and on weekends.
The modified regime remains in effect until 15 September, from Friday to Sunday.
The implementation of the aforementioned signaling plans will enable the adjustment of traffic light signaling to actual traffic needs, which will increase the flow of vehicles on the main roads M17 and reduce the time spent in traffic jams, especially during peak hours.
