Could you please provide instructions for applying for construction permit for access to a public road?

An application form for construction permit for access to a public road has to be submitted by the relevant physical planning authority to the respective road authority set in Article 13 of the Road Act of the FBH (Official Gazette of the FBH, No.12/10)..

The application form shall be submitted together with the following documents:

  • A copy of the cadastre plan including the cadastral data for the parcel on which the structure is to be constructed;
  • Excerpt from the land register for the parcel on which the structure is to be constructed ;
  • Site plan (plan view of the project site including location of the structure against the main road);
  • urbanističko-tehničke uvjete za planirani objekat.

Upon receipt of the above documents, the applicant will be provided with an act to pay the costs of administrative proceedings of permit issuance and the costs of field visit of the experts assigned by the respective road authority, as well as the federal administrative fee.
Upon field inspection, the appropriate project documents at the detail design level must be submitted for any access planned to be built.

Could you please provide instructions for applying for construction approval for accommodating utilities within road right of way?

An application for permit for accommodating utilities along public road (i.e. pipelines, telecommunication and electric cables) has to be submitted by the relevant physical planning authority to the respective road authority set in Article 13 of the Road Act of the FBH (Official Gazette of FBH, No. 12/10)..

The application form shall be submitted together with the following documents:

  • A copy of the cadastre plan including the cadastral data for the parcel on which the utilities will be accommodated;
  • Excerpt from the land register;
  • Study on accommodating utilities along the main road.

Upon receipt of the above documents, the applicant will be provided with an act to pay the costs of administrative proceedings of permit issuance and the costs of field visit of the experts assigned by the respective road authority, as well as the federal administrative fee.

How can I legally place a roadside advertising?
  • According to Article 13 of the Road Act of the FBH (Official Gazette of FBH, No. 12/10 and no 16/10), PC Roads of the FBH is responsible for management, construction, reconstruction, maintenance and protection of main roads while the placement of the roadside advertising signs is defined by Article 78 of the stated Act.
  • According to Article 80, paragraph 2, item 8 of the above Act, road manager has been granted the authority to initiate the administrative proceedings and make decisions of approval/ refusal of the applications for placement of advertising signs.
  • Pursuant to Article 6 of the Ordinance on Placement of Roadside Advertising (Official Gazette of FBH, No. 75/10) the pertaining application form must be submitted by the future user to the relevant authority or road manager.
  • Following the application procedure and site visit by the investor/ future user in order to determine the possibility of placing the roadside advertising in the requested location, in accordance with Article 7 of the Ordinance, the applicant has to submit the required documents that shall include following:
    • Proof of solved property legal affairs;
    • Excerpt from the cadastre of underground utilities, if any;
    • Urban approval or site information issued by the relevant municipal authority – if the surface of advertising signs is larger than two and less than 12 m2, and
    • Technical documents;

PC Roads of the FBH gives approval on placement of the roadside advertising.

An application for urban approval has to be submitted by the investor/ future user to the relevant municipal authority together with the amendments to the documents prepared by the PC Roads of the FBH or the road manager.

Which documents are required to obtain permit for extraordinary transport on main roads?
  • Completed and duly signed application form for extraordinary transport permit;
  • The official evidence on load weight;
  • Schematic drawing of a vehicle together with a load (i.e. layout, side view and cross section) for proper calculation of fee for use of roadside land;
  • Copy of vehicle licences of the towing engine and the trailer(s);
  • A statement that individuals who will be responsible for organization, preparation and provision of extraordinary transport is duly qualified for it (Article 13 of the Rulebook);
  • A statement by the carrier claiming possession of required qualification and experience to carry out the extraordinary transport (Article 10 of the Rulebook);
  • A statement that the carrier will engage the applicant to be head of the escort of the extraordinary transport and that this person shall be the responsible transport manager (i.e. first and last name). Statement shall be signed and certified by both parties the carrier and the applicant (unless the Applicant is also the carrier).
